this is the 2nd new episode after TMS' 13-week hiatus from Conan due to corona-chan. yup! they aired 975, then a rerun of 143, then this one, then 252, 977, rerun of 158, 978, rerun of 281, 979 & 980, then back-to-back weeks of: Episode One: The Great Detective Turned Small, and The Disappearance of Conan Edogawa: The Worst Two Days in History, 981-84, rerun of 242, 985-988, rerun of 273, then a long stretch of new ones: 989-996, rerun of 235, and finally 997-1001.

then TMS aired reruns of EDITED for time versions of 779-783 so those five episodes could fit into four weeks (if you don't remember that is 'The Scarlet Return' arc). this was to prepare folks to view Movie 24 (all about the Akai family) released one year late (again due to corona-chan) on April 16, 2021. episode 1002 aired after those four weeks of 'The Scarlet Return' arc reruns on April 17.

after April 17, 2021 only TWELVE more weeks were filled up by reruns until next week's new episode 1051 on July 23, 2022.

oh Dec. 27-Jan 8, 2021 and Dec. 26-Jan. 8, 2022 TMS took their usual 'Xmas/NewYears Break' but didn't air any reruns.
